HOME OWNERSHIP MADE AFFORDABLE UNDER THE CANADA-ONTARIO AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM

The County of Oxford is participating in the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program (AHP).

If you are currently renting and don’t have the money for a down payment, homeownership can now become a dream realized. The AHP has committed more than $28 million to make homeownership affordable.

The Homeownership component of the AHP provides up to 10 percent in down-payment assistance to eligible households with total income which does not exceed $74,300. Applicants must be renting, be at least 18 years of age and have access to mortgage financing.

The home can be brand new or re-sale and the purchase price must not exceed $202,270"
